Who organizes the event?  First Fridays Long Beach is produced by the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association.  The association took over the management and production of the event in February of 2008 and has since grown the event to be the main economic driver for the businesses in the Bixby Knolls area.

Why aren’t there food trucks? Since the event is organized by the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association (BKBIA), that consists of approximately 800 members, the BKBIA serves the membership first.  We work very hard to make sure outside vendors are not in conflict with the membership.  Since there are many places to eat in Bixby Knolls, we encourage visitors to support local businesses in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood.
